BASKETBALL.

On Saturday last the following games were played: —Taylor Shield: High School A 13, Kaikoura B 5; High School B 18, High School C 6. Paton Cup: School B 14, Kaikoura B 10; Athletic 11, Kaikoura A 7. Handicap Competition: Kaikoura A (scr) 25, High School C (16) 16; High School A (4) 14, Athletic (scr) 10- High School B (8) 22, Kaikoura B (4) 14. On Saturday next a team from Cheviot will play against B grade teams of the Kaikoura Sub-Association. A grade matches will be played as usual. The following is the draw: —Ball Cup: 2.40 p.m>, Kaikoura A v Athletic, No. 1 ground; 3.20 (Handicap Competition), Kaikoura A v Athletic, No. 1 ground. B grade (No. 2 ground): 2.15, Cheviot v Kaikoura No. 1 team: 3.15, Cheviot v Kaikoura No. 2 team.
