44th ANNUAL TRIALS. The 44th annual trials of the Kaikoura Collie Dog Club are to take place at Mr F. J. Monk’s “Ludley” property on June 16, 17 and 18, the proceeds from which are to be devoted t”> the returned soldiers’ fund. The first prize in each of the four events is £6, with second of £2 10/, third of £1 10/ and fourth 10/, besides cups and other special prizes, the list of which is as follows: P. Acton-Adams Memorial Cup, for best three-dog team, Classes 1, 3 and 4. Mr A. Giles’s Cup, valued at £3 3/, (.lass 4, to be won twice in succession or three time* at intervals. Mr J. C. Borthwick’s Challenge C-ip* for competitor scoring most points at tr-f.ls. Mr J. Adair’.-, Cup, valued at £5 5/, for local dog scoring most points in Class 4. Mrs Crampton’s trophy, for most points at trials. Mr G. Berry’s t rphy for local niusrterer scoring most points in Clns? 4 W!i\ maiden <b.g. Mr S. Fuller’s first-aid equipment for local dog not being in prize moneyin Class 4. Mr B. Lawson’s Cup to the Ijcal musterer scoring most points at trials. ‘ ‘ Anonymous ’ ’ donates a silver medal for farmers in Class 4. Mr E. S. Sharplin’s trophy for dog not in money in Class 3. Mr B. S. Trolove’s Cup for district maiden dog in Class 4. Messrs J. Trewin and N. Rutherford donate silver tea service for dog scoring most points in Classes 1 and 2. Mrs A. B. Clark donates trophy for maiden dog scoring most points in Class 4. Mr H. Yaxley’s Cup for winner of Class 2. Mr G. Betten’s Cup for local dog in Class 1 not being in prize money. The Club provides miniature eups for Classes J, 2, 3 and 4.
