DRAWN GAME AT BRISBANE BRISBANE, December 1. Queensland narrowly escaped defeat by the Marylebone Cricket Club in the match which ended here to-day in a draw, losing nine wickets for 227 in its second innings, after England haddeclared its innings closed at 528 for eight wickets. At stumps Queensland was 273 runs behind, but the last pair hail played out time. Robins took four wickets for 63, and Fames three for 45. England made 215 in the first innings and 528 for eight wickets in the second and declared. Queensland scored 243 in the first innings and 227 for the loss of nine wickets when time was called. KAIKOURA CLUB A match will be played on Saturday between teams chosen' by Messrs \V McLennan and F. Hobbs.
