Harvey Darton:—“The farmer can pick his type , of sheep according to the possibili- | tics of his lamb, either for its wool , or for its mutton value. How often I loos the urban housewife think of j that distant choice when she resitates over a joint of early lamb, or Wcl>h mutton, or even ‘Canterbury lanih,’ which is not lamb at all, but the full-grown diminutive New Zealand sheep’,”
