“There is no over-producti. n of butter in the world, but too much of it is going into England,” stated Air William Goodfellow, addressing a Irage public meeting at Hamilton. Mr Goodfellow added that in the past considerable quantities of New Zealand and Australian butter had been bought on the London market for Continental consumption. Extreme financial stringency had restricted that consumption, but he considered that before long Continental purchases would be increasing and relieving the glut on the English market.
