HOCKEY
The Kaikoura ladies’ team was defeated by Hanmer at the Showgrounds on Wednesday by 2 goals to 1. The game was fast and most interesting. Poor shooting and lack of dash in the circle robbed Kaikoura of the game. Messrs N. Eagan and F. Taylor were the referees.
The team selected to play at Cheviot on Saturday is as follows:—Alisses E. Lawson, Al. Osmond, L. Adair, L. Lane, E. Wareham, B. Wallace, Al. Wareham, Brenda Perrin, R. Hendry, N. Pluck, and Al. Trulgian. Emergencies: Beryl Perrin and K. Ferry.
Players arc requested to ring the Captain (Miss E. Wareham) regarding place and time of deparrture of cars.
