MAGISTRATE’S COURT,
CHEVIOT. A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held on Tuesday, before Mr H. P. La wry, S.M. Henry Charles Tomlinson, of Motonau, was convicted and fined 20/, ami costs 12/, for driving a motor-car without having a motor driver’s license. The following civil cases were dealt with:—Cheviot Mootr Co. (Mr Aynsley) v. N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative As-
sociation of Canterbury, Ltd., claim £2 16/ for cartage. Judgment was given for the full amount, with costs £1 19/. Judgment was given by defaut in the following cases:—G. Ridout v L. Fahey, 19/11, costs 12/; Cheviot Motor Co., Ltd., v L. W. G. Cone, £l9/0/5, costs £3 11/; same v W. Brown, jun., £6 10/2, costs £1 12/6; A. C. Palmer v. C. Hunter, £1 6/9, costs 10/; Cheviot County Council v S. H. Tully, £9 5/3, costs £1 16/6; same v W. T. Pain, £3B 1/9, costs £4 6/6; same v E. Ayrton. £5 1/8, costs £1 16/6.
