RABBITSKIN MARKET

The stock agents report as follows on the Dunedin rabbitskin sale, held on Tuesday: —

Medium-sized catalogues were offered, including the first of the season’s winter bucks. Inferior grades up to early autumns were slightly weaker, and showed a drop of Id to 2d per lb. but there was a strong demand for all good grades of later caught skins. Incoming winters showed a sharp advance on last sale’s prices. The demand was particularly keen for bucks, and first winter bucks sold at over 60d per lb. There was a slightly better enquiry for does. The following is the range of prices:— Summer broken, 9d to 9£d; autumn broken, 14d to 16d; second winter, broken, 16d to 18£d; first winter broken, 19 d to 20d; runners, Bld to 9£d; summers, 9d to 13Jd; small. 5 Id to CJd; light racks, 124 to 13d; prime racks, 12|d to 14jd;ylawny autumn, 14Jd to 15id; early autumns, • to 22$d; late autumn, 28d co 29£d; second incoming, 27d to 30d; incoming w-inter, 41yd io 49d; early winter bucks, 541 d to SGT<I; early winter does, 2<»Jd; first win’er bucks, 61|d to 6rd: outgoing, 20d to 24|d; springs, 141 d to 17d; milky, 9Xd to 13d; fawn, 6d to 8d; winter fawn, 20d; summer black, 6d to 8d; autumn black, 12d to 14d; hareskins. 4d; horsehair, 12d to 13d.
