RAINFALL FOR CHEVIOT.
* For the past eight months the rainfall has been as follows:—January, 2.55 (10), February 1.12 (6), March 1.37 (6), April 2.13 (8), May 4.99 (10), June 5.73 (!•>), July 5.85 (13), August 5.70 (10). The total fall for the period -was 29.44. on 7-8 days. For the corresponding mon Jis for the three previous years the rainfall was: 1922, 14.17; 1923, 33.03; 1924, 15.60. Since August 31st, 1924, to September 1, 1925, a total rainfall’ of 46.7:5 was registered, December being the wettest month, with 6.49.
