Although a meeting of relief worker* was to have been held In tha Trades I Hall this evening, it was postponed by the convenors because tbe numbers r expected were too large to be accommodated. About 800 man assembled. a The situation for a time waa delicate hut a strong party of police, under InI spector Lander, cleared and dosed the hall. The leaders of the crowd urged that a street procession be formed, but this, r too, was abandoned on the advice of the police and the crowd dispersed , quietly.
