PERSONAL NOTES.

Mr and Mrs Alf Brustad (nee Aroha Clifford, tbe well-known avlatrix), arrived in Reefton on Saturday morning and left later for Murchison and Nelson on their honeymoon trip.

Tbe death took place at Westland Hospital yesterday of Mrs Emms Hewer, a well-known resident of Hari Hari. The deceased leaves a husband, three ions, and oae daughter. Sir Maynard Hedstrom, - a member of the Legislative Council, was married to-day to Joyce, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Beauchamp, of Sydney. Press Assn, cable.

His Lordship Bishop Sadlier of Nelson, arrived in Westport on Saturday and held a confirmation service at St John's Church. Bishop Sadlier will be in Reefton. in a few days.

In bis youth he was a member of' the Oriental Football team and a very fine player, and was also prominent in senior football, and waa one of tbe representative team that played New Sooth Wa es at Greymouth. He was for some years President of Reefton Jockey Club, and was an assiduous worker for the good of that body. The late Mr Perotti was 57 years of age, and a native of Greymouth. He is aurvided by a brother, Mr Gerald Perotti, Greymouth, and two sisters in London. The interment takes place to morrow afterno >n.
