(In all of the major sections of the market at Addington on Wednesday, entries were heavier than ordinarily. . As a result there was an easing in j beet and mutton values.

j STORE SHEEP A good deal of interest was shown in the market, but the demand was limited and rather dragging. Some fair prices were obtained, but considering the quality of the ewes they by no means looked dear. SPRING LAMBS There were nine spring lambs entered, the quality being good. I They met a keen sale, and realised j good prices. Top price was 36s lOd. FAT SHEEP The entry was more than was i needed to meet butchers' requirej ments, and from the start of the sale there was an easing in values. Wethers declined by 2s a bead, and heavier ewes by Is. STORE CATTLE Yearling black and while calves made up to 27s 6d, and Shorthorns up to 40s. Eighteen months to two-year Shorthorns made to £3 6s, and two-year old heifers made to £4 11s. Fresh cows were disposed of at prices ranging up to £3 7s 6d, and potters, of which only a few were yarded, sold up to 555. DAIRY CATTLE The sale though on a slightly lower basis of values than the previous one, was sound, the competition for the better sorts being keen. The top price of the sale was £l2 10s, and there were several other sales at around this figure. FAT PIGS The entry in the fat pig section was of medium size. There was a little better demand, and baconers j improved in value. STORE PIGS I There was a large entry of store j pigs, and the demand was brisk I throughout the auction.
