The Russians without any* where giving the Germans the satisfaction of a general battle are gradually transforming the passive into an active resistance all along the line. Reed this day at 10.5 a.m PETROGRAL, Oct 3. Russian newspapers report the number of Au«tro-German prisoners of war in Russia to the 7th September totalled a million.
