The tightness of the money market in Dunodin is evidenced by the flooding of the market there with stocks of all kinds, and as a consequence of this attempt to force sales prices generally have receded, and are likely to con-

tinue to do so as long as the unequal pressure is kept on. It is unfortunately the case that this position of things is not confined to Dunedin \ alone, but has almost equal application j to all the other centres of investment ] hi the colony, where the same mone- i tary pressure is no doubt felt.
