WEDDING BELLS

MARRIED IN COROMANDEL A pretty wedding of interest to many friends took place in Christ church, Coromandel, on Saturday, December 9, when Joyce Edna, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. The Rev. E. T. Leef tied the marriage knot, and Mrs E. M. Lucas supplied the wedding music. White satin made the bridal gown, with lace inset .bodice and sleeves and a skirt falling into a graceful train. Her full length veil was of embroidered net fastened to her head with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of Christmas lilies. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs E. L. Perfect, as matron of honour and Miss Dulcie Strongman as bridesmaid. Gamble made a very charming floweij girl. The chief attendants wore charming frocks of silver tinsel crepe with taffeta underskirts in shades of heliotrope and spring green respectively, with slim fitting bodices, sweetheart necklinesy short puff sleeves, lace mittens and long full skirts. Their veils of lemon embroidered net were caught to their heads with coronets of matching feathers and they carried bouquets of lemon gladioli. . The flower girl wore a dainty- full length frock of champagne crepe-de-Chine and she carried a spray of lavender gladioli.

Mr Ron Pepper was best man and Mr K. Notman took the part of groomsman. A reception was held in the R.S.A. hall where Mrs Potts, wearing a floral marocain suit with brown hat and accessories and. a corsage of white

gladioli, assisted by Mrs-Quist, in a red and white silk linen froek, white hat and accessories, received the guests. Mr Ray Skewes acted as toastmaster. For travelling the bride chose a tan brown suit with hat and accessories to tone.
