RUGBY, BOWLS AND CROQUET
GATHERINGS ’ AT COROMANDEL
There were no visiting football teams journeying to Coromandel last week-end but a game was played between Maori and Pakeha teams, the match resulting in a draw, each side scoring six points. Mr J. Ngapo refereed the game. The weather at Coromandel was ideal for bowling last week-end and enthusiasts were to be seen playing on the green. The crqquet lawns attracted players and a most pleasant afternoon was enjoyed by members of the Coromandel Croquet Club. Dance in Evening
On Saturday evening last the Coromandel Basketball Club held a dance in the R.S.A. hall where a pleasant time was spent dancing to music supplied by Mrs D. Stewart and Mr W. Hart.
