NEW BOARD CHAIRMiAN
PAEROA SCHOOL COMMITTEE’
■Cordial greetings to the chairman and members of the Paeroa District High School Committee at its October meeting were sent by the newly elected chairman of the Auckland Education Board, Mr Thos. Turbott, who has been elected to succeed Mr G. K. Hamilton, now retired. Mr Turbott said that he hoped it might be possible for him to visit many schools during his term of office and meet committee members personally. The board’s concern was for the welfare of the chiildren and to ensure that the teaching facilities were of the highest possible standard. He stated that he would do his best to see that such.was so.
