QUEEN’S BRIDGE
IS CONDITION UNSAFE?
EXAMINATION TO BE MADE
The state of repair of Queen’s bridge, neai - Waihi, was causing concern, said Cr S. H. Thompson, at the October meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council.
Cr Thompson said that complaint had been made to him by those using the bridge and the school bus was unloading children before crossing the bridge. The engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, stated that he had watched the county grader go over the bridge and also a five ton truck and the bridge showed no sign of weakness but he would make a further examination.
