HAWKER’S LICENSE
VEGETABLES in paeroa
APPLICATION TO COUNCIL
Application for a license to hawk vegetables in the borough of Paeroa was sought at the October meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council by Mr N. Pedersen, of Karangahake. The applicant stated he intended to purchase a suitable truck and would be commencing to operate within 14 days provided a license was granted. Vegetables would be purchased from Hamilton and delivered by rail to Paeroa within one day. Each area in Paeroa would be canvassed upon the same day each week. The matter should be referred to the health inspector with authority to grant a license if the requirements of the law were properly complied with, said the mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards. A resolution to that effect was duly carried.
