RUGBY AND BASKETBALL
WHITIANGA TEAMS BEATEN
A football and a basketball team from Whitianga school were guests of the Coromandel School on Friday last.
The Whitianga schoolboys were defeated in a match ' with the home school team by 26 points to six. Mr R. Pepper refereed the game. The Whitianga girls’ basketball team was also defeated by the Coromandel home team by 12 goals to 6. Mr D. Longley refereed the first half and Miss Budge the second half.
