WHAT SORT OF CREDIT
HONOUR OR DOLLARS? COROMANDEL COUNCIL MEETS Whether there should be credit by acknowledgement or by cash was queried by councillors at the meeting last week of the Coromandel County Council. The discussion arose when Cr S. H. Le Roy-Dyson asked that credit be given to the Kuaotunu riding for allowing blue gum stringers from its old bridge to be used elsewhere in the county, to wit, on the Kaimarama road.
Cr A. J. Denize: “Oh ye, we will give you credit for being generous.” Cr Lq Roy-Dyson: “Oh no, I do not mean that kind of credit. I mean credit in the riding account.” Much laughter followed;
