DISTRICT NURSE

ONE FOR COROMANDEL QUESTION OF HOUSE DIFFICULTY OF BUILDING The appointment of a district nurse at Coromandel was dependent upon the provision of suitable occommodation. Tenders were called in June last by the Housing Construction Division for the erection of a residence for the district nurse, wrote the director-general, Department of Health, Wellington, to the October meeting of the Thames Hospital Board.

-The letter went on to state that the division had been advised that no tenders‘had been received but the district supervisor at Hamilton was trying to interest a builder. The department had no knowledge of any other State house, either erected or awlaiting construction which would be available for the district nurse.

Mr H. V. Denize stated that there had been a delay in securing a house but there was now every possibility of securing a builder to erect a dwelling and the matter was in harfd at present. He hoped to be able to report soon that the house had been started.
