STOCK SALE AT PAEROA

BRISK DEMAND FOR SHEEP

Good entries came forward in all sections at Messrs G. W. Vercoes and Co. Ltd’s, sale at Paeroa last Monday and competition was keen throughout from a good attendance of buyers. A brisk demand was experienced in the sheep section, prices realised being in advance of recent sales. Yearling heifers met a bright sale, while all classes of dairy cattle and fat cattle sold fully up to recent high values a pen of yearling P.A. steers making £l2. 'Quotatoes: —Choice dairy heifers, £2l/10/- to £23/10/-; good, £lB to £2O/10/-; medium, £l5/10/- to £l7/10/-; others, £l2 to £l4/10/-. Good dairy cows, £l7 to £l9; medium, £l3/10/- to £l6/10/-; later sorts, £ll to £l3.

Heavy fat cows, £l3/15/- to £10; medium, £ll/10/- to £l3/11/-; lighter, £lO/7/6 to £ll/7/-. Heavy boners, £B/5/-. to £1075/-; light boners, £6/5/to fflllbl-. Potter bulls, £7/10/- to £l4.
