BOATS AT PUKE BRIDGE
TWO FULL CARGOES
GELIGNITE, SUGAR & CEMENT
The Ngahina wharf at Puke bridge, Paeroa, was full of activity yesterday morning, the occasion being the unloading of two vessels fully loaded with cargo. One was the smart little Moata with a full cargo of gelignite for the Martha mine at Waihi. The regulations prohibit the carrying of any other.cargo with gelignite. The larger vessel was the barge towed by the Mahoe belonging to the
Galbraith Shipping Company Ltd. and under charter to the Northern Road Transport Ltd., of Paeroa. The barge’s 55 ton cargo comprised sugar, cement and petrol, which was promptly discharged by the staff of ■Messrs Brenan and Co. Ltd.
