REQUEST FOR POWER
VALLEY BOARD MAKES REPLY
“I would warn you that at the present time, with the power supply being so difficult, the board has been refusing connections to many installations and of course yours would most likely come on in order behind those already declined,” wrote th|e manager of the Thames Valley Electric-Power Board to Mr A. Fitness, of Puru, Thames Coast, who applied for power for a sawmill he contemjplated erecting. The board desired particulars as to the size of motors proposed to be installed.
Mir Fitness replied advising the board that he would require to install one 60 h.p. motor and another motor not exceeding 10 h.p.
The board resolved that the application for electrical supply must be declined.
