DONATIONS ON PLAINS
QUOTA NOT FULLY ACHIEVED
Collections on the Hauraki Plains for the United Nations Appeal for Children, 1950, totalled £1154/5/4 by September 30, reported the county clerk, Mr L. E. Smith, to the October meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council.
“A number of residents have advised collectors that they have forwarded their donations direct to headquarters and I have written asking for particulars so that ridings may be credited with the amounts involved,” concluded the report.
