MR AND MRS S. WHEELER

GATHERING AT NETHERTON

The Netherton hall was comfortably filled recently to honour Mr and Mirs Stuart Wheeler at a gift evenings. With Mr C. Townshend as M.C. and Mr N. Collier at the piano the evening went with a swing. Mrs C. Heslop delighted the gathering with two solos, “Just a Prayer Away” and “The Irish Lullaby.” The Monte Carlo was won by Mr and Mrs Stuart Wheeler.

After a delicious supper Mrs Geo. • Sarjant pinned a spray on Laurel and s the young couple proceeded opening ' the gifts. Stuart, on behalf of his wife, thanked everyone for the evening and their lovely gifts. ’ Mr J. Gordon then made a presentation of a fruit set from the basketball girls. Mrs Nicholson won the ladies’ prize at "euchre and Mr W. Richmond the men’s, and a competition was won iby Mr J. Gordon. ' Among those present were:— M’esdames G. Petley, C. Heslop, W. Richmond, E.
