TENNIS AT TURUA
ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB
OFFICERS FOR YEAR ELECTED The annual meeting of the Turua Tennis Club, held recently, was well attended.
The secretary reported on the activities of the club during the past season.
Messrs T. Prowse, N. Robinson, R. Madgwick and F. Marshall were elected to attend the Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s annual meeting at Waitakaruiu.
The meeting also decided to hold a working bee and it was loft to Mr Madgwick to contact members. Officers elected were:—
Patron, Mr S. Murray; president,. Mr A. C. Scott; vice-president, Messrs<C McLean, F. Marshall, D. Stewart and H. Hicks; secretary, Mrs M. Robertson; assistant-secretary, Mr J. Harris; chairman, Mr C. Scott; women’s committee, Mesdames A. Sutton, R. Madgwick, F. Marshall, R. Walters, Braddock, Ward; men’s com- . mittee, Messrs R. Madgwick, T. Prowse, N. Robinson, I. Harris, F.. Marshall, 0. Marceau, M. Jamieson, R. Olsen, G. Scott; club captain, Mr R. Madgwick; delegates, Messrs T.. * Prowse and R. Madgwick.
