BUS SERVICE ENDS KARANGAHAKE TO PAEROA to insufficient patronage it has been found necessary to discontinue the ‘shoppers’ service from Karangahake to Paeroa ait 9.30 aJm. on Monday, Wednesday ■and Friday. This will take effect as from Monday, September 25 ” Wrote the officer in Chaingc of New Zealand Railway Road Services, Paeroa, to the September meeting of the Paeroa Chamber nf Commerce. The service should have been from Waiikiino, said Mr B. liam, who expressed the opinion that if the service had been from iWaikino it would have been sufficiently patronised to make it a payable service. The chairman, Mr J. J. Craig, said it was certainly disappointing as the bus service had been established through the efforts of the chamber at the request of Karangahake residents who had not given it full support There was really nothing 'the chamber could do about the matter.
