COMBINED MEETING SIX BRANCHES ASSEMBLE 7 A combined, meeting of six branches of the New Zealand National Party (Hauraki electorate) was held in Mangatawhiri hall recently and chaired by Mr R. Leith-Milne. Members were keen to get togerher for discussion groups and branches represented were Clevedon, Hunua. Pokeno, Mangatawhiri, Mangatangi and Maramarua. Morning tea was provided by Mr and M!rs G. Pope. A very interesting address on party progress was given by Mr Lei thrMilne, and his request for questions >nd ideas was most popular but showed that, although criticism was asy, construction was difficult. All felt the benefit of getting together for the changing of ideas and discusdon of problems and it was decided hat similar meetings be held quarterly. Votes of thanks to Mr and Mrs Pope and to the chair were carried by reclamation.
