PLAINS TENNIS
WAITAKARURU CLUB OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR Waitakaruru Tennis Club held its annual meeting on September 28, there being a fair attendance of members. The president congratulated the club on its good financial standing and said there had been a good support of players last season. It was decided that the opening day of the coming season would be October 23 and it was thought probable that two teams would be entering’ the competitions of the Hauraki Plains association this year. The election of officers then took place, resulting as follows:— Patron, Mr Alex. McClean; president, Mr Percy Harris; vice-presi-dents, Misses 0. Hinton, M. Hill. E. Butler, Alex. Young and A. Hogh; club captain, Mr R. Paton; vice-cap-tain, Mr J. Gordon; secretary, Mr H. V. Dibble; committee, Mesdames Riley, Hegh, junior, Smythe and J. Smith, Messrs W. Hegh and A. Flay; delegates to Hauraki Plains Tennis Association, Messrs P. Harris and H. V. Dibble.
