MOTHERS’ CLUB

A SPECIAL FATHERS’ NIGHT EVENING SPENT AT WHIST The September meeting of the Paeroa Mothers’ Club was held in the Victoria tea rooms. The evening was a rather special one, being Fathers’ Night, and was in the form of a whist evening. Considering the fact that it was rather difficult for both parents to get away together, the number of fathers present was fairly good. To many of those attending the gathering the game was. a new one but none the less, interesting and exciting. At the end of the game there was no one who could say that he or she had not enjoyed the evening The ladies’ prize for the highest number of points obtained went to Mrs Ferguson, while the men’s prize was captured by Mr L. Bogue. At the conclujsiion of the game supper was served and enjoyed by everyone.
