CROQUET CLUB
500 CARD EVENING COROMANDEL GATHERING A successful 500 card evening was held at Mrs J. H. Lucas’ residence Kapanga road, Coromandel, on Wednesday, July 21, when there were several tables of players and a very enjoyable time was spent. Thb winners for the evening were, for the ladies’ prize, Mrs Peachey, and Mr J. Scott for the men’s. A competition was won by Mr J. Firth and was a very papular win. A very nice supper was served by the ladies at the conclusion of the games and once again the local croquet club benefited by the proceeds of the evening. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Lucas for the use of het home.
