Counties’ Association in Auckland,legislation may , eventually... -,b© - passed which will not allow county (ratepayers affected iby a borough, councils proposal to inchide part of the county in its area, to vote ion the issue. Borough ratepayers alone will have this prerogative. The chairman of the Thames County Council, Mr D. Courtney, who attended the conference, told his council that he was astounded that delegates should make a decision which Was not in favour of county ratepayers being given a vote on a proposal affecting their welfare.
