SOCIAL NOTES
Mr and Mrs G. G. Bax of Wharepoa were visitors to Auckland during the week-end.
Mrs A. Howarth of Hikutaia left for Christchurch this week to attend the Dominion conference of Women’s Institutes. She will represent the Wharepoa Women’s Institute as their delegate. Mrs L. Alexander and Mrs M. Davidson of Northcote, who have been visiting Mrs J. Davies of Hikutaia, have returned to their homes. Misses Kathleen Jackson and Margaret and Frances Waite of Ngatea spent the week-end in Auckland.
Mrs W. Blaikie of Ngatea spent the week-end in Birkenhead as the guest of her mother, Mrs Belcher.
Delegate of the* Ngatea Women’s Institute, Mrs G. R. Darling, is attending the annual conference of the Dominion Federation, being held at Christchurch this week.
