COLVILLE RIDING
COUNCILLOR COMPLAINS _« AUTHORISED WORK NOT DONE For the third consecutive year work had been curtailed in the Colville riding owing to wet weather, said Cr. A. J. Denize, at the May meeting of the Coromandel County Council. Cr. Denize appealed to the council to see that work with the grader was commenced earlier in the year in future. Work which had been authorised to be done some months ago had not been done. Scrub was to have been cut oivthe Waikawau hill. He thought it was too far to take a man from Port Charles to do the work. Cr. J. H. Reddy expressed the opinion that during the winter more labour would be available to do the work. ’ The meeting resolved that the matter be left in the hands of Crs. Denize and Reddy with power to act.
