CROQUET CLUB
500 CARD AFTERNOON COROMANDEL GATHERING A pleasant afternoon was spent at Mrs Peachey’s residence, Coromandel, on a recent Thursday when the members of the Coromandtel Croquet Club and friends enjoyed some games of 500. A very nice afternoon tea was served and a social chat over the tea cups took place. The winners on the cards were:— Highest score, Mrs J. Fisher; lowest score, Mrs McKinley. These afternoons are taking place at various ladies’ homes, with a view to keeping the club members together during the off season and also to raise funds for the upkeep of the green during the winter months.
