CLAIM MADE
SINKING OF LAUNCH ADVICE TO PLAINS COUNCIL , "Mr David Baden Powell of Thames, the owner of the launch ‘Bettabee’ has served-notice that he intends to bring an action against the council arising out of the sinking of the launch on February 7 last in the Waihou river at the Turua wharf. The matter has been referred to the council’s insurers for attention,” reported the county clerk, Mr L. E. Smith, to the May meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council.
