“THE SUN COMES UP”
FILMED IN TECHNICOLOR PROGRAMME AT REGENT Five varied musical selections are sung hy Jeanette MacDonald in her new role as the concert star of “The Sun Conies Up,” which comes to the Regent Theatre on Saturday and Monday.
“The Sun Gomes Up” is based on a novel by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, author of “The Yearling” and was fihned in technicolor on location in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Together with Mias MacDonald, the cast stars Lloyd Nolan, Claude Jarman, Jr., and the collie star, Lassie, with Lewis Stone and Percy Kilbride in support. It was directed by Richard Thorpe and produced by Robert Sisk.
