HIGH SCHOOL BALL

FUNCTION A SUCCESS STUDENTS’ GAY FROCKING On a recent evening one of the biggest crowds in years packed the Civic hall to capacity on the occasion of the Paeroa District High School’s annual ball. The hall had been tastefully decorated by pupils of the secondary department who, under the direction of the prefect, Peter Callaway, were responsible for the entire organisation of a very successful evening.

The music was supplied by the Swing Stars Orchestra who kept the large crowd in a merry mood. The senior pupils had prepared a sumptuous supper of pork, fowl, trifles and fruit salad for the occasion.

The prefects of Thames, Te Aroha, Ngatea, Waihi and Katikati high schools were present as the guests of the Paeroa District High School prefects and all voted it a most successful function.
