COMBINED MEETING
WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
KOPUARAHI and pipiroa The July meeting of the Kopuarahi Women’s Institute was held at Pipiroa, lhe president, Mrs Carey, presiding over a very good attendance of members.
Mrs Burt was welcomed by members, Who expressed pleasure at her return to institute meetings after her illness. All wished her a speedy recovery to full health. The meeting decided to accept birthday invitations from the Turua and Orongo ■ branches of the Women s division. The roll call, “ The oldest photo of myself,” caused much amusement.
A very enjoyable lunch was served by the members of the Pipiroa institute after which the members of both institutes joined to listen to an interesting talk on child psychology by Miss Smith of Auckland. The results of the competitions were as follow: —
Best bloom, Mrs Auger 1; child’s frock, Mrs East 1; penny competition, Mrs Burt.
