TABLE TENNIS

INTEREST IN COROMANDEL

ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB

The Coromandel Table Tennis Club’s 1949 season opened on Tuesday, April 12, when games were held in St. George’s hall.

The election of officers also took place and resulted as follow's: President, Mr R. T. G. Pepper; secretary and treasurer, Mrs M. Dear; committee, Mrs L. Bethel, Miss E. Riley, Miss L. Davies and Messrs K. A. McNeil, H. Dear and R. A. McNeil.

The subscription for the season was fixed at 2s 6d per member, plus Is per night. Non-members will be charged at the rate of Is fxl per night. With the prospect of clubs becoming active in neighbouring districts it appears likely that a frequent exchange of visits will be possible. This added interest, together with a revival of the keen competition provoked by ladder matches should ensure that the present season will be a notable one.
