RATES ON THE PLAINS 99.16 PER CENT. OF TOTAL The percentage of European rates collected on the Hauraki Plains for the year ended March 31, 1949, was 99.16 per cent., reported the acting county clerk, Mr L. L. Jones, to the April meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. Total rates levied for the year amounted to £30,262 9s 3d, and of these there remained unpaid £l5O 6s at March 31, 1949.
