Clive Stretton sustained « compound fracture of the left leg and W. McLennan an injury to the bone casing of one leg. Both of these men were taken to the Thames Hospital, Stretton remaining there, but McLennan was later permitted to return

home where he is now confined to bed. Bruce Coxhead put his knee-cap out and Walker sustained a badly sprained ankle. The home team replaced these casualties and continued the game.

Soon after play commenced R. Paton for Waitakaruru opened up the score. Securing the ball from the scrum he found a gap in the defence and crossed the line to score. The kick at goal failed. Kerepehi were awarded * penalty and Henry kicked a goal. Some very nice play by the Kerepehi forwards resulted in a try and thia was converted. A little later Kerepehi again scored and Mataroa followed with another score for Waitakaruru, this being converted by B. O’Neil. A very nice penalty kick by Henry (Kerepehi) was disallowed. Altogether in spite of all the bad luck of the accidents it was a very good game with very good play on both sides.
