SEWAGE AT BEACH

REQUEST FOR SERVICE

LETTER TO COUNTY COUNCIL

44 The number of dwellings under the control of the Ohinemuri County Council at Waihi beach is rapidly increasing and there is no system of collection and disposal of night soil,” wrote the medical officer of health, Mr A. W. S. Thompson, in a letter which was read at the April meeting of the council held in Paeroa.

It was suggested that the Waihi Borough Council had a contractor who provided a regular service of collection and that probably that service could be extended to include houses in the area controlled by the council.

The council decided that it would be best to leave the matter with the county clerk, Mr A. A. Jenkinson, to make the most suitable arangements with the health inspector at Waihi and to act upon his advice.
