RUGBY AT THE BAY
FIRST MATCH PLAYED KUAOTUNU BEAT WHITIANGA The first game played on the newly formed field in the Lyon Centennial Park, Whitianga, was a Rugby match between Whitianga and Kuaotunu club teams. Kuaotunu won by eight points to nil. D. McLean scored a nice penalty kick, I. Brophy scored a try and N. Winiata converted.
Mr A. E. White was the referee.
