TENNIS AT KAIAUA
MATCHES AT WEEK-END TOURNAMENT STAGED The Kaiaua Tennis Club’s tournament was played on the Kaiaua school courts during the week-end. At the conclusion of the games a short address, congratulating the winners, was given by the club president, Mr A. dejongh, who made the presentations and thanked Mr Stanley Keith for his generosity in donating the cups which were competed for. Three hearty cheers were given for Mr Keith. The results of the matches were:— Men’s handicap singles: B. Brigham 21 defeated B. Soloman 18, B. Anderson 21 defeated R. Horton 11, W. Anderson 21 defeated B. Anderson 19. Semi-final, R. Lowry 21 defeated B. Brigham 16. Final, W. Anderson 211 ' defeated R. Lowry 19. Women’s handicap singles: Semifinal, L. Soloman 21 defeated B. de Jongh 0. Final, L. Soloman 21 defeated I- Matuschka 16.
