REFEREES MEET
ANNUAL MEETING ON PLAINS YOUNG MEN ENCOURAGED The Hauraki Plains Referees’ Association held its annual meeting recently in the Ngatea hall. Mr W. Bailey, Kerepehi, was reelected chairman, but the position of secretary has yet to be filled. Mr A. Leonard was elected delegate to the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union. It was decided to take steps to encourage more young referees to join the association and also to approach the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union for financial assistance.
