COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
NGATEA FUNCTION MR K. WILLIAMS HONOURED An air of gaiety prevailed at the home of Mr and Mrs R- Williams, of Ngatea, at the function held in honour of the coming-of-age of their nephew, Mr KeKith Williams of Waitakaruru. Mr A. Price was M.C. and a very enjoyable evening was spent with dancing on the lawn, games, cards and community singing. A sumptuous supper followed, when Mr Price ably carried out the duties of toastmaster. Replying to the toast to his health and happiness, Keith thanked everyone for coming along to make the evening such a jolly one and also for the gifts received. He thanked his aunt and uncle for throwing open their residence en this great occasion. The lovely birthday cake was made and iced by Keith’s mother, Mrs E. J. Williams of Waitakaruru. Among those present were: Mesdames R. Williams, E. J. Williams, L. Williams, S. Abraham (Cambridge). J. and A. Waite (Auckland), J. Godkin, C. Hardwick, A. Harris, J. Lennan and Clark Snr. Misses J. Mitchell, M. Godkin, B. Williams, R. Williams, and L. Boston (Morrinsville).
