DOUBLE ACCIDENT
TWO brothers injured WORKING WITH TRACTOR When the tractor which he was driving list Sunday got out of control and Mr Keith Hale of Maramarua received a severe gash on his right leg and abrasions to the •knee. Later in the day his brother, Mr William Hale, while helping to right the tractor, caught the index finger of his right hand in a timber jack and had it severely crushed. Jioth men were admitted to the Thames hospital for treatment. Mr* Keith Hale was towing a load of manure down a steep hill when the tractor overturned and he was pinned beneath the wheel. He was rescued by Mr W. Carmichael, on whose farm the accident occurred. Mr Carmichael was helping to get the tractor buck into position when Mr William Hale sustained injuries to his finger.
